The article (click title to view) includes a video of the attack. It isn’t pretty, and viewer discretion is advised. I’m disgusted by the ‘3 day punishment’ for what was a violent attack, but thankful that this is now receiving local, national and international attention. Shining a light on this is the only way to alert instituations to their obligation to ensure that students are able to learn in a safe and respectful environment.
To say that the school dropped the ball is understatement, as can be gathered from the comments on their facebook page. I wish the brave Mother of the victim all the best in redressing the balance of this situation via legal means.
